Mickey Rowell holds a B.A. from Lee College and M.M. from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in church music and vocal performance. He has done additional studies at UTC and Florida State University. He joined the EC faculty in 2003. At Emmanuel he teaches music education and music ministry classes and gives private voice lessons. Mr. Rowell previously taught in both private and public schools in Tennessee and Florida, where his bands and choral groups consistently received superior ratings. He has also been active in church music ministry for over 20 years. He has won National Association of Teachers of Singing competitions and has been active in opera, oratorio and musical theater performance as well as an adjudicator and clinician.
