Judy Lawson serves as an adjunct in the School of Education in the early childhood program. She retired from teaching elementary school children and holds a B.S.Ed in Early Childhood Education from Emmanuel College, and a Masters and a Specialist degree from Piedmont College. She lives in Lavonia, Georgia with her husband, and has two adult children.

Anna Shelton received her MFA in Communication Design from Texas State University and teaches graphic design courses. She has worked in various areas of design since graduating from the Communications department at Emmanuel College in 2002. Her expertise includes graphic, web, interactive, packaging, environmental design, and fashion design. Recently, her in-house design team at CLEAResult won the 2014 Ragan Communications Award in the area of Corporate Rebranding. Anna is joining EC after spending 7 years in Atlanta and 4 and a half years in Austin, TX.
Kendal holds a B.A. with a double-major in Literature and Religion, from Emmanuel College, a M.A. in Communication / Performing Arts from Regent University, and a MFA in Acting and Directing from Regent University. He taught Communication and Theatre at Emmanuel College for 6 years (1997 - 2003) before moving to Los Angeles, CA to pursue a career in the film and television industry. He is a member of the Actor's Equity Association (AEA), the Screen Actors Guild (SAG), and the American Federation of Radio and Television Artists (AFTRA).
Jon Campbell is a senior majoring in Psychology and Christian Ministries here at EC. He plans to pursue graduate work in the ministry field after graduation. In the meantime he is acting as the interim RD of Wellons Hall. Outside of school, John enjoys skateboarding playing guitar, reading, writing, and visits to Smiley Mart. "My greatest treasure of all is Jesus. Without compromise, my life’s purpose is to know Christ and be found in Him; my dream is to become like Him in every way, having Him be “'magnified in my body, whether by life or by death.'"
A native of the metropolitan New Orleans area, Casey came to Royston along with his family to seek refuge from Hurricane Katrina in 2005. He lived at the home of his grandparents, Bill and Carole Stewart and soon began attending Emmanuel. After much prayer, his family made the decision to stay permantently in Royston in 2007 and Casey has called the area home since. He graduated Emmanuel in 2010 with a BA in Church Music and went on to earn a MM in Music Literature from the University of Georgia in 2012. Now, Casey has returned to Emmanuel to teach courses in music history.
Sue is originally form southern California but has also lived all across the country. She has an A.A. degree in early childhood education, a B.S. degree in psychology, a M.A. degree in dynamics of criminality, and expects to finish her Ph.D. in criminal justice this semester. Sue's career as a police officer included K-9, SWAT, fraud investigation, and time as a senior training officer. She taught at the police academy in North Carolina for five years and continued to provide training to police officers and departments nationwide.

It's almost time for Fall 2014 classes to start! To help you get ready, we've set aside two days especially for commuter students. All commuters, new and returning, must check in on one of these days! During this time you will be able to secure your parking permit and student id as well as settle your account balance. Remember, if your balance is not settled, you will not be able to attend class.
- If you are a Returning Commuter, you will pick up your Welcome Bag and officially “check in” with Student Life on one of the above days.
- If you are a New Commuter student, you will still need to come on the 5th OR the 6th to get your id and parking permit, but you are also required to be at Orientation on Saturday, August 9th. Coach Molly McCarty, a life-long resident of Athens, GA, joined the EC Lions coaching staff as the assistant women’s soccer coach under the direction of head coach Forrest Wimberly in 2014. She completed her undergraduate and graduate work in education from the University of Georgia and her educational specialist from Piedmont College.
Katy Conner received her B.S. in Early Childhood Education from Emmanuel College, while playing softball for the Lady Lions. She received her M.A. in Early Childhood Education from Piedmont College.
Mrs. Conner is a certified dyslexia tutor and a Center Consultant for Brain Balance Centers. Brain Balance specializes in Processing Disorders such as Autism, Dyslexia, ADD, ADHD, Asperger’s using a holistic approach. Mrs. Conner’s son is a former graduate of the program.
Kayla Grudda, a newlywed as of July 26, 2014 graduated from Emmanuel with a BS in Christian Ministries in 2014. While a student, she was a member of our women's basketball team. Kayla is now a member of Emmanuel’s coaching staff, helping to coach the same team she played for. Kayla and her new husband, Austin, live in Lavonia. " I’m very excited to share Christ through the sport of basketball.
