EC's CAP Presents Dr. Geoffrey Haydon's Piano Recital Dr. Geoffrey Haydon from Georgia State University will give a piano recital Thursday, October 8, at 7:30 p.m. in Taylor Auditorium. The recital features the music of Franz Joseph Haydn and Felix Mendelssohn. It is free and the public is welcome. Dr. Haydon will conclude the recital with a jazz piano set. He is an accomplished classical and jazz pianist, with recordings in both styles. A native of Manassas, Vir., Dr. Haydon has successfully bridged classical and jazz styles of performance. Currently he coordinates the piano faculty at Georgia State University where he teaches piano, piano literature, jazz history, and jazz theory. Known as a classical and jazz soloist, he is also a member of the Haydon-Lyke Piano Duo, the American Music Trio, the Haydon/Parker Duo and the Georgia State University Faculty Jazztet.
