Welcome! Thank you for visiting the Department of Social Science page at Emmanuel College. Men and women who graduate from the Social Sciences department find successful placement in careers in many satisfying and rewarding fields.
The Social Science Department offers preparation for careers in education, criminal justice, history, pre-law, psychology, counseling, social work, sociology, political science, and geography. All the faculty members in the Social Science Department are ready to help you plan an academic program that will lead to challenging and rewarding work.
All classes in the Department of Social Science come from a Christ-centered worldview and offer instruction from many different models. While some classes employ lectures to present their lessons, students also find seminars, discussion-centered instruction, laboratory instruction, projects, observations, and directed studies.
The variety of instructional methods prepare graduates to work in many different employment situations. Social Science professors strive to prepare Christlike disciples who will integrate their own faith, learning, and living into effective careers, scholarship, and service.
