Mrs. Bryan comes to Emmanuel College with a strong background of teaching experiences. Nancy taught 4th grade in the public school in Kentucky. In Florida and Tennessee she taught in Christian academies with two years in a fourth grade classroom and two years of junior high science, math, and grammar. For fourteen years she taught 12 hours a year at Bluefield College, in Virginia, teaching a variety of education and psychology courses. Nancy also homeschooled her three sons from kindergarten through various stages of high school. Most recently, Nancy taught adult education seeing many adults from the ages of 18 to 72 achieve their lifelong dreams of graduating with a GED. Additionally, Nancy has taught Children’s Church, Bible school classes, Women’s studies, and Sunday services while co-laboring with her husband, Scott in the planting of two churches that are flourishing today.
Much of Nancy’s family is connected with Emmanuel College. Her husband, Dr. Scott Bryan, is in his first year at EC teaching in the Kinesiology Department. Her oldest son, Jeremy, is an EC ’11 graduate and is now a youth pastor at Bridge Church in Virginia Beach. He is engaged to Katlyn Moncrief, a ’12 EC graduate. Middle son, Justin, is a Virginia Tech graduate and is presently a mechanical engineer designing engines for Cumins in Indiana. Her youngest son, Jordan, is currently a student at EC majoring in Business.
Nancy is glad to back in the classroom and is looking forward to being a part of what Christ is doing at EC.
