A native of the metropolitan New Orleans area, Casey came to Royston along with his family to seek refuge from Hurricane Katrina in 2005. He lived at the home of his grandparents, Bill and Carole Stewart and soon began attending Emmanuel. After much prayer, his family made the decision to stay permantently in Royston in 2007 and Casey has called the area home since. He graduated Emmanuel in 2010 with a BA in Church Music and went on to earn a MM in Music Literature from the University of Georgia in 2012. Now, Casey has returned to Emmanuel to teach courses in music history. "I believe that God has opened this door for me, and I am excited to see where He will lead!"
