Michelle Kendrick, assistant professor in the School of Education, currently serves as chair of the Mathematics Department. She holds an A.A. in general education from Bainbridge College, B.S.Ed. in middle grades education from Thomas University, and a M.Ed. and Ed.S. in mathematics education from the Florida State University. She is currently working on her Ph.D. in elementary education from the Florida State University. Michelle taught mathematics to middle and high school students for 15 years in public and private schools in Georgia and Florida. She is extremely excited about teaching early childhood and mathematics courses at Emmanuel and looks forward to working with the wonderful students of Emmanuel. Her research interests include students’ transition from elementary to middle school as well as instructional strategies and content knowledge in mathematics instruction. When not teaching, you will find Michelle helping her husband Joey coach bowling at Emmanuel or on adventures with their son, Ethan.
