Welcome to our Financial Aid website.  We are very excited that you are thinking of attending Emmanuel College.  We realize that financial assistance, in many cases, is the determining factor in your college decision, and we want to help you in the most effective way possible.  Listed below you will see a list of items to complete.  This will help our office assist you more efficiently.  If at any time you have questions, please contact our office.  For students with last names beginning with “A-K,” your counselor is Ms. Lisa Williamson at (706) 245-2841 or lwilliamson@ec.edu. STEPS TO HELP US HELP YOU!!


Don’t forget to come back to our site after you have completed each step. (Look to the left for the different webpages.)
  1. Returning students, please check your Emmanuel College e-mail account. All correspondence from our office will be sent to this account.  New students, once you receive an Emmanuel College e-mail account, all correspondence from our office will be sent to this account.
  2. Need assistance in navigating through the Financial Aid Process at Emmanuel.  Here are three tools to assist you in this process: the Financial Aid Checklist, the Financial Aid and Student Account Timeline and Instructions to Access Your Student Information.
  3. Complete the Emmanuel College Application for Financial Aid.
  4. Complete the Free Application For Financial Aid.
  5. Georgia residents will need to make application for both the HOPE Scholarship and the Georgia Tuition Equalization Grant.  
  6. Complete and submit any required verification documentation.  (The Office of Financial Aid will let you know if this applies to you.)
  7. Students who choose to borrow under the Federal Direct Student Stafford Loan Program and this is the first time you have borrowed under this program at our college, you must complete a Master Promissory Note (MPN) for Direct Student Loans.
  8. Parents who choose to borrow under the Federal Direct Parent PLUS Loan, must complete a credit check and/or the Master Promissory Note (MPN) for Direct Parent PLUS Loans
  9. All Federal Work Study students must complete a contract and all necessary tax information.
  10. Maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress.
  11. Once your financial aid file is complete, settle your student account.
