“For the first time in our history, U.S. News & World Report ranks Emmanuel College as tier one among private colleges. That’s the highest level of achievement. They also name us one of the Best Regional Colleges in the South,” EC President Michael Stewart says.
“We are honored, and we are grateful to the commitment and dedication of all our employees and board members who have made this possible and to our outstanding group of talented students, who do well here and go on to successful, meaningful careers after graduation,” he says.
This is exciting and encouraging news as Emmanuel College remains focused on its mission as a Christ-centered college to integrate faith, learning and living for effective careers, scholarship and service.
EC received the notice last fall and is included in the 2013 edition of “Best Colleges” published by U.S. News & World Report. These rankings are considered to provide the most in-depth and complete rankings in higher education.
These rankings evaluate the top 1,600 accredited four-year schools in the country based on several key measures of quality, such as peer assessment, graduation and retention rates, undergraduate academic reputation, faculty resources, experiential learning opportunities and more.
