Communication Studies at EC prepares students to be Christian communicators in learning, working, and serving with their minds, hearts, and spirits throughout college and life.
In this increasingly digital world united through the Internet, the field of graphic design is growing. This growth offers career opportunities to those with the skills to meet these new and exciting challenges. Emmanuel College's major in Graphic Design provides students with an environment equipped to attain these sought after skills by combining a solid foundation in design fundamentals with creative opportunities that allow a student's God-given talents to flourish. Our Graphic Design major incorporates information, technology, and community. In the senior project course, students showcase their knowledge and skills acquired through the communication curriculum.
Aside from completing 24 hours of core communication courses, students take focused courses on each of the industry standard Adobe CS5 design programs. Both concentrations prepare them for graduate school or entry-level positions in a variety of career choices, including Media Production, Public Relations, Graphic Design, Video Editing, Advertising, Layout and Design, Marketing, Fundraising, Human Resource Development, Communication Training and Consulting.
