We in the Music Department are pleased that you are interested in our programs at Emmanuel College. The music faculty is always looking for quality students to become part of our active program.
Our three programs – B.A. in Music Performance (Vocal, Keyboard, or Instrumental emphasis), B.A. in Music, and B.A. in Worship Arts – are tailor made to help you develop musically, academically, and spiritually, to prepare you for your career in serving God and your world through the gift of music. Additionally our B.A. in Worship Arts gives you the option of concentrating in the Arts or in Ministry. We also partner with the School of Education for students interested in a Music Education degree, allowing students to choose between a Choral concentration or an Instrumental concentration.
Requirements for entrance into the Music Department are the completion of an audition packet (downloadable here) and an audition, which we will schedule after we receive your packet. All three programs – and the Music Education program – require an audition for full entrance into the Music Department as a major. (Please refer to the School of Education for the complete Music Education program outline.)
On the Music department pages of this site are interesting facts to help you decide on a program of study – careers that each program will prepare you for, classes you will take, and the faculty who will teach you. Also included is information about our musical groups, ensembles, our alumni, current students, activities, and more on our Facebook page!
Enjoy the site, and please feel free to contact us with questions or requests for additional information.
May God richly bless you on your journey as an Emmanuel College music major!
