Cathy Monroe, instructor, received her B.A. in mathematics education from Georgia College and her M.Ed. in mathematics education from the University of Georgia. She taught in the public school system for 31 years and came to Emmanuel full-time in 2006. She teaches courses in precalculus, trigonometry, geometry, college algebra, math methods for high school teacher candidates and math for elementary and middle school teacher candidates. She also observes and coaches teacher candidates in the nearby schools.

She is a member of The Grove (www.grovelevel.com) in Maysville, Ga. Cathy and her husband, Zane, have three children; Patrick, Mark and Michelle.
