On June 13-17th, 2011 Emmanuel Arts Academy, Franklin Springs, GA, will offer its fifth Fine Arts Summer Camp for ages 8-14 from 8:30-4:00 daily; Advanced Performer’s Clinic (half-day) for ages 13-17 from 8:30-12:00; and Pre-school Arts Workshop for 4-6 year olds from 8:30-11:00 a.m. Camp, clinic, and workshop professional instruction is provided by Emmanuel College professors & Arts Academy instructors.
The Fine Arts camp provides instruction in many areas including music (piano, guitar, voice), musical theatre and drama, art (drawing & printmaking), creative writing, film critique and photography as well as worship, recreation and games. Tuition is $135 or $150.00 after May 30th and includes hot lunches, morning snack and t-shirt.
The Performer’s Clinic offers coaching and instruction for more advanced musicians in a master class setting as well as providing training in music history, fundamentals and stage movement and audition techniques. Tuition is $100 or $110 after May 30th and includes a camp t-shirt.
The Pre-school Workshop offers fun movement & musical training to develop literacy, reasoning, and social skills while providing a foundation for musical development. It includes Kindermusik, creative movement, storytelling and crafts. Tuition is $90 or $100 after June 3rd and includes a t-shirt and daily snack.
Arts Academy Director, Dr. Deborah Stark says, “We look forward to another summer session of training young musicians, artists and writers in our community and hope that these opportunities will spark talents that can be further developed throughout the year. We have seen some dynamic young artists emerge and look forward to a wonderful week!”
