Karen C. Senkbeil, assistant professor of education and director of field experience, received her B.S.Ed. and M.Ed. in early childhood education from the University of Georgia and her Ed.S. in educational administration and supervision from Lincoln Memorial University. She taught for 31 years at Hartwell Elementary School.

Karen and her family are members of First Baptist Church of Hartwell. She is also a member of Hartwell Service League, Bell Family YMCA, and Ga. Association of Field Directors. Karen and her husband, Van, have four sons: Jeremy, Caleb, Luke and Zachary; and one granddaughter, Holland Larke Senkbeil.
