Beth Ward serves as Executive Secretary to President Michael S. Stewart and Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Craig Edwards. She began working at Emmanuel College in 1973 as secretary in the foundational stages of the School of Christian Ministries with Rev. B. E. Underwood and Dr. Garnet E. Pike, and continued in that position until 1981. After several years at home as full-time mother, she returned in 1990, filling in as needed and then as secretary in the Development Office. In 1992 she became Executive Secretary for President David R. Hopkins and Executive Vice President, Dr. G. Earl Beatty, until these gentlemen retired in 2005 and 2006.

It has been her privilege to assist three presidents over the years -- Dr. C. Y. Melton, Dr. David R. Hopkins, and now Michael S. Stewart.

Beth is married to Mike Ward (36 years) and they reside in Carnesville, Georgia. They have two grown children, Marlaina (Ward) Harper, and Alex Ward - both EC alumni.
