Forms and Information
A matching scholarship is provided to full-time, degree-seeking students who receive a contribution from their local church (any denomination). The recipient must regularly attend their local church. (It is the student’s responsibility to inform his or her church of any guidelines pertaining to this scholarship.)
Emmanuel College will match up to $500 per year (see chart below for guidelines):

The contribution must be at least $500. While larger contributions to a student’s account are welcomed and encouraged, only the first $500 will be matched. Contributions of less than $500 will not be matched. The only exception is if the student is attending only one semester of the academic year, the college will match a $250 contribution. Contributions received after the deadline may not be fully matched.
The matching scholarship is non-transferable, not available during the summer semester and not redeemable for cash.
The application to apply for the Emmanuel College Church Matching Scholarship is the Emmanuel College Application for Financial Aid (ECAFA). The application is available here.
It is the students responsibility to note in their ECAFA their church's desire to participate in the church matching scholarship. Churches do not need to complete an application. Instead, churches should make contributions payable to Emmanuel College and send them by the deadline listed above. In the memo section of the check, state Church Matching Contribution and name of student. Please mail check to:

Participation in this Scholarship Program by a sponsoring church involves accepting responsibility to make contributions in accordance with the Internal Revenue Service Guidelines. Specifically, this means that contributions for this scholarship program must be from the church body and cannot represent designated gifts from an individual for a particular student. Failure to adhere to these guidelines will jeopardize participation in the scholarship program.
Students are eligible to receive this scholarship each year for up to eight semesters, provided that they maintained Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP). If the student does not meet the SAP requirements, the church’s contribution will not be matched and will be considered an “Unmatched Church Scholarship.”
In addition to scholarship, students are encouraged to apply for additional forms of assistance by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid here and the HOPE Scholarship and Georgia Tuition Equalization Grant here.
All grants, scholarships and loans singularly or in combination cannot exceed a students’ cost of attendance. A students cost of attendance is determined by the financial aid office and includes tuition, room and board, books, transportation and miscellaneous expenses.
The Accounting Services Department exists to maintain the financial records of the College efficiently and effectively, in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and produce reports that meet the informational and decision-making needs of both internal and external constituencies. We strive to assist students, employees and other customers with their financial matters in a prompt, courteous and professional manner while safeguarding the assets of the College by operating within a strong system of internal control in accordance with Government Auditing Standards.

Bishop Tommy McGhee
Debra Grizzle has been a member of the Emmanuel College staff since 1978, when she graduated with an A.A. degree in office administration. She was named registrar upon the retirement of Dr. Kirk Hartsfield and has served in that capacity since 1992. Continuing her education, she has earned a bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies from Emmanuel College in 1999 and M.Ed. in college student affairs from Azusa Pacific University in 2002.
Cathy Acree serves as the Assistant Registrar. She has served in this capacity since July 2007. Before working at Emmanuel, Cathy was a student at EC. She received her A.S. in Business Administration in 2004 and her B.A. in English in 2006. She was valedictorian of both classes. Cathy is currently pursuing a M.A. in Secondary English at Piedmont College. She is married to Andrew Acree, and they reside in Royston.
In order to filter email in web outlook you must first make sure that you have the e-mail filter turned on. Go to https://webmail.ec.edu/ and login with your firstname.lastname@example.org and password. On the top right side of the screen is an "Option" button. Click on it and a new screen will appear on the right pane of the screen. Scroll down the screen until you find the "Privacy and Junk E-mail Prevention" section. Make sure that the box is checked beside the "Filter Junk E-mail" sentence. You may also click on the "Manage Junk E-mail Lists" button to edit your safe and blocked sender’s list. Click "Ok" or "Cancel" in the dialog box and then click on the "Save and Close Button" at the top when you are finished.
As messages come into your inbox and junk box, right click on them and choose "Add Sender to safe sender’s list" or "Add Sender to block sender’s list." You may also create rules to send e-mails to specific folders, including the deleted items folder. You may also only allow safe senders to appear in your inbox. Turn that on under the "Manage Junk E-mail Lists" button on the options page.
Don’t forget to right click on your junk e-mail folder and deleted items folder and empty them out every now and then.
