Tammy Foster currently serves as an adjunct professor in the School of Education. She holds an Educational Specialist degree in Teaching and Learning from Piedmont College, a Masters of Education in Interrelated Special Education and a Bachelor of Science in Education in Mental Retardation from the University of Georgia. Mrs. Foster taught Special Education at the preschool, elementary and high school levels in Georgia schools for 20 years. In addition to Special Education certification, she holds certification in Preschool Handicapped Education, Reading Education, and Educational Leadership. She currently serves as the Special Education Director of the Franklin County School System. She is an active member of the Georgia Council for Exceptional Children (CEC) and the Georgia Council of Administrators of Special Education (G-CASE). She serves on the Board of Directors for the Franklin County Collaborative. Mrs. Foster and her husband Randy live in Lavonia. They have three sons and attend Lavonia First Baptist Church.
