Ashley Zenisek is a mathematics lecturer teaching courses in college algebra, differential equations, mathematical topics, and undergraduate research at Emmanuel. Prior to working here, Ashley taught at Milwaukee School of Engineering and Marquette University with a primary (but not limited) focus on the calculus series. In 2005 she received a B.A. in Christian ministry and a B.S. in mathematics from Wheaton College. She continued her studies at Wheaton and earned an M.A.T. in secondary math education (2007). Ashley furthered her knowledge in both mathematics and computer science by receiving an M.S. in computational sciences from Marquette University in 2011. Currently, she is attending UGA in pursuit of her Ph.D. in mathematics education.

Ashley’s research in abstract algebra (more specifically Moufang Loops) is published in the journal Commentationes Mathematicae Universitatis Carolinae. At the present time she works on a research team from University of Georgia studying students’ concept of mathematical proof. During the past six summers Ashley has been invited to participate in grading AP Calculus exams
