Tiffany Dawn, author of The Insatiable Quest for Beauty, speaks in EC's convocation on November 4 at 11 a.m.
Using her gift of music, Dawn shares her testimony of her battle with herself while finding her self-esteem in a world where the media begs young ladies to find themselves in material things over the love of God.

The Franklin County Chamber of Commerce names Emmanuel College as the Member of the Month for October 2014.
"Emmanuel was voted as Member of the Month for October 2014 to coincide with their homecoming and the college’s 95th Year Celebration," says Mrs. April James, Chair of the Franklin County Chamber Membership Committee as well as their 2nd Vice President.
Even after a record-high summer giving from the IPHC, the Women's Ministries brought a very generous offering of nearly $74,000 to Emmanuel College's 67th Annual Feast of Ingathering on October 3, 2014.
"I am overwhelmed by the generosity of the ladies of the IPHC," says Dr. Ron White, EC's Interim President. "Each year they faithfully bring their offerings to campus.
In the October 4, 2014, board meeting, the Emmanuel College Board of Trustees voted unanimously to change Dr. Ron White’s position from interim president to president.
As Emmanuel College celebrates 95 years in 2014, more than 300 alumni and friends attending Saturday's Annual Alumni Luncheon on October 4 were introduced to the new president of EC's National Alumni Association as well as the recipients of a special Presidential Award and the Distinguished Alumnus Award.
Many celebrating class reunions were also recognized and alumni from the Class of 1964 were inducted as Golden Graduates of Emmanuel.
"If you have never made your own decision to follow Jesus Christ; if you have never truly repented of your sins and believed; if you've never prayed and asked Jesus to save you, for YOU, not for your mom or your dad or your pastor or your grandparents or your church, this is the moment where you can step out in faith and truly believe. For the third consecutive year, U.S. News & World Report names Emmanuel College as tier one among private colleges and ranks EC in the Top 50 as a Best Regional College (South).
For 2015, EC moves up 10 ranks from the previous year to 47th place in regional rankings.
