

Emmanuel College is thrilled to celebrate our Spring 2023 graduates on Saturday, May 6 at 10:30 a.m. in the Shaw Athletic Center. Approximately 120 graduates will be receiving their degrees.
Leslie McFarlin, Vice President of Economic Development for North Georgia Technical College, will serve as this year’s commencement speaker.
A Franklin Springs native, she is the daughter of Garland and Jane Earnest (Emmanuel Academy 1959, Emmanuel College 1961). McFarlin graduated Cum Laude from Emmanuel College’s School of Education in 2002.
Mrs. McFarlin taught sixth-grade mathematics at Franklin County Middle School. After earning a Master of Arts Degree from Piedmont University in 2007, McFarlin accepted a position at North Georgia Technical College (NGTC). Ms. McFarlin has served NGTC as a faculty member, program coordinator, and Academic Dean. She currently serves as Vice President for Economic Development.
Mrs. McFarlin lives in Carnesville with her husband James. They have three children, Dylan (Payton) McFarlin, Carolyn (Tyler) Gibson, and Alexander McDuffie. They recently welcomed their first grandchild, Turner Jane Gibson in February.
