- Public and private P-12 schools provide teaching opportunities.
- Department of Defense Dependents Schools (located in the US and also overseas).
- State Merit System for positions such as Court Service Worker and other juvenile justice positions are oftentimes filled by teachers.
- DFCS often hires certified teachers because of the teachers’ background in dealing with parents, etc.
- Educational professional organizations such as GAE and PAGE have some service positions. SACS also hires teachers for some of their openings.
- Federal Civil Service such as the Corps of Engineers have positions for teachers in their parks educational programs. State Merit System provides these teaching opportunities as well in the state parks.
- Teaching positions on the mission field provide opportunities for teachers.
- European Council of International Schools (ECIS) has employment info about schools in Europe.
- International School Services (ISS) has info about international elementary and secondary schools employment.
- Church schools also offer teaching opportunities to teachers.
- Industries and businesses hire teachers oftentimes for their training departments.
- Adult education positions are available for teaching GED, etc. These adult education positions are available in public schools, community colleges, and public service organizations.
- School systems hire for the following support positions: librarian, counselor, supervisor, administrator, school psychologist, speech therapist, and other support positions.
- Government agencies oftentimes hire teachers as planners, researchers, or evaluators.
- Recreation and leisure organizations such as YMCA or county recreation department offer opportunities for teachers.
- Many camps offer positions for teachers as counselors or managers because of their skills.
- Publishers oftentimes hire teachers as sales representatives, editors, or writers.
