CANDIDATE LIST GROWING
As previously communicated, the Board of Trustees has engaged the search firm, Boyden, to assist with Emmanuel’s presidential search.
Their team has been encouraged by the steady progress made so far. There has been a high level of interest from candidates who strongly align with the criteria for this opening. Applications and nominations will be received through May 20, 2023.

May 20 Deadline for submission of application materials by candidates
May 20-June 6 Search Committee reviews applicant materials
June 6 Search Committee selects semi-finalists
June 6-July 6 Interviews with semi-finalists
July 6 Search Committee selects finalists
July 6-27 Search Committee interviews with finalists and selects best candidate
July 31 Board of Trustees interviews best candidate
August Candidate and spouse visit campus for meetings with campus community and Board of Trustees
August/Sept Best case: new president presented to college community during workshop week. Public announcements to follow.
Presidential Search Committee Named
The Emmanuel College Presidential Search Committee has been selected and is charged with identifying, recruiting, and vetting candidates who meet the qualifications needed to be named the tenth president of Emmanuel College. We have engaged Dr. Michael Nichols of Boyden (Executive Search) to assist in this process to narrow a list of 150-200 people to a final candidate. The committee will then bring the candidate to the Board of Trustees, who will do the final vetting and ultimately affirm the final candidate.
The Board of Trustees has put a strong committee together including:

Reggie Till— Vice Chair of the Emmanuel College Board of Trustees
Bishop Tommy McGhee — IPHC Liaison for Higher Education
Pam Currie — President of the National Alumni Association
Bill Cox — Member at Large (Finance Chair)
Greg Hearn— Staff Representative (Executive Vice President, CFO)
Thomas Rosene — Staff Representative (Men’s Basketball Coach)
Paula Dixon — Faculty Representative (Assoc. Professor of Communication)
Kyle Garrett — Faculty Representative (Assoc. Professor of English)
